General FAQ

What is World of Freight?

World of Freight is a community of Freight Frens!

Together with the community, we are building the number one vehicle-themed NFT ecosystem with a P2E racing game where the vehicles can be customized and upgraded.

The P2E racing game currently has the following elements:

  • Racing Arena where you can race and compete with other players worldwide, 24/7. At this point, all races are Free to Join with $WOF Tokens as rewards.

  • My Fleet is where you can see all your vehicles and your $WOF Token balance.

  • Garage is where you can customize and upgrade your vehicles, paying in $WOF Tokens.

  • Junkyard is where you can burn your old vehicles for a chance to get better vehicles.

More elements will be added to the racing game in the future.

Using technologies such as blockchain and cryptocurrency, the World of Freight racing game enables users to experience the same benefits of owning a racing vehicle in real life.

At the same time, the community is also involved in building Supplain, a supply chain blockchain that aims to standardize the rules for information exchange across the global supply chain.

What is Supplain?

Supplain is a new supply chain blockchain built by WOF Labs, the creators of World of Freight, with the involvement of our community of freight frens.

In essence, Supplain will become a blockchain protocol that’s specialized in supporting the needs of the entire supply chain ecosystem, aiming to give its users full data ownership, enterprise-level security and overall sustainability.

Every community member who owns a World of Freight NFT is invited to join in the discussions about Supplain via the Boardroom, a members-only Discord channel.

At the launch of Supplain's token, all World of Freight NFT owners will also be airdropped Supplain's tokens, according to the amount of NFTs they have and some additional rules.

Supplain's whitepaper, along with a more specific tokenomics plan, will be launched soon.

More active freight frens may also be invited to join the WOF Labs core team.

What's an NFT?

An NFT stands for "Non-fungible token" and is a fancy way of saying it's a unique, one of a kind digital item that users can buy, own, and trade. Some NFTs main functions are to be digital art and look fantastic. Some offer additional utility like exclusive access to websites or participation in an event; consider it a rare piece of art that acts as a "members" card.

For more information, read ethereum.org's guide for NFTs.

How many NFTs are in the collection?

World of Freight NFT Collection consists of 10'000 unique vehicles, all generated with randomized traits at the mint.

Each vehicle is unique and programmatically generated from 224 possible traits, including different vehicles, slogans, cargo and more. In addition, the vehicles will come with some extra characteristics that might become very important in future expansions.

Also, it's important to note that we have saved 167 NFTs for giveaways & rewards for the community.

How do I get started with World of Freight?

You'll need three simple things to get started: a computer (laptop or desktop) that uses Chrome (Firefox or Brave) or a smartphone, a digital wallet, and ETH (digital money).

What is a Digital Wallet (or MetaMask)?

A digital wallet is needed to store your ETH and purchase or mint a World of Freight NFT. Having a wallet gives you an Ethereum address (i.e. 0xABCD….1234), and this is where your NFT will be stored.

We suggest using MetaMask Wallet, which exists both as a plugin extension that lives within your web browser and as a mobile application that lives within your phone which can interact with the blockchain.

There are also other wallets that you can use to interact with the World of Freight ecosystem, including Coinbase Wallet or Rainbow Wallet. However, we recommend using the MetaMask Wallet as it is most widely used at the moment.

For more information, check getting started with MetaMask guide.

What is ETH (ether)?

ETH is a form of digital money used primarily on the Ethereum platform.

The Ethereum coin can be transferred immediately to people you know over the internet.

Ether’s primary purpose arguably extends beyond offering a form of digital money. It helps to keep the Ethereum blockchain running.

Whenever transactions are made and operations are completed on the Ethereum network, it costs a tiny fraction of ETH – also known as a gas fee. Gas fees measure precisely how much computational power any given transaction requires before it can be recorded on a blockchain network. ETH is used to pay for the gas fees when transacting on the Ethereum blockchain.

---

Your personal ETH Balance is shown inside your digital wallet.

For example, if you have transferred 1 ETH to your MetaMask, your ETH Balance will display 1 ETH.

Please note that you will need to use your ETH Balance to buy World of Freight vehicles.

If you haven't bought any ETH previously, check how to buy ETH guide.

Is World of Freight safe and secure?

Yes. World of Freight utilizes Smart Contracts to record vehicle ownership and will be tracked via the Ethereum blockchain and World of Freight ERC 721 non-fungible tokens. All vehicle data (transportation mode, vehicle type, stats, color, background color and other elements, including race statistics) are stored in the smart contract.

Given that all World of Freight vehicles are tokens that live within the blockchain, they can be bought or sold digitally, with a guarantee of ownership.

In other words, you are the sole owner of a digital vehicle.

Read the World of Freight's Ownership Licence for more information.

How do I purchase a vehicle?

There are two (2) ways you can get your World of Freight vehicle:

  1. Mint a New Vehicle

  2. Buy via OpenSea

For minting a new Vehicle via the World of Freight website:

  • Go to the World of Freight Minting page.

  • Click on Connect Wallet and choose your digital wallet.

  • Select the amount of NFTs you would like to get.

  • Click on Mint and confirm your transaction via the wallet.

For buying an existing vehicle via OpenSea:

  • Go to OpenSea.

  • Search for World of Freight to view the genesis collection.

  • Filter vehicles by various categories to find the right one for your fleet.

  • Click on the vehicle you want and “Buy now.”

Can I purchase a vehicle using my credit card?

No, not at this moment.

However, you can easily buy ETH using your credit card, even via MetaMask Wallet.

You will also need cryptocurrency to enter paid races or upgrade your vehicles on the World of Freight ecosystem.

Here's a guide for buying ETH via MetaMask.

Are there any free vehicles?

There are no vehicles available for free. However, there are often community-led giveaways on Twitter, Discord and other platforms to help new users get into the ecosystem.

How do I know if I'm buying from the real World of Freight collection?

Only mint the vehicle via our Website or purchase it from the official World of Freight contract on OpenSea. This is the only method we recommend for buying or selling your World of Freight vehicles to avoid purchasing fake World of Freight vehicles.

You can identify the correct contract by checking that the contract information is the same as in our Official Links.

How long does it take to get my vehicle?

Once you mint a new vehicle via the World of Freight website or purchase one from OpenSea, it may take anywhere between five (5) minutes to two (2) hours for the vehicle to appear in your wallet. You will be given a transaction ID, which means you can check your transaction's status at any time via Etherscan.

Transactions on the blockchain can take a few minutes to process, and then it can take a few more minutes for our website to sync with the blockchain. But please do not stress! Transactions marked as successful means your vehicle belongs to you, and it will appear.

How do I find out what type of vehicle I have?

  • Head to the My Fleet section of the World of Freight site

  • Click on the vehicle to expand your vehicle's profile

  • View the details like Transportation Mode, Vehicle Type, Stats, Color, Background Color and other elements, including race statistics

You can also check your vehicle's rarity via Rarity.Tools.

What perks do I get by hodling the World of Freight NFTs?

You will get:

  • To help create the Supplain blockchain together with the rest of the community of freight frens.

  • To earn $Wof tokens for each day that you hodl the NFTs, which will have various use cases.

  • To use your World of Freight vehicle NFT in any way you want.

  • Access to a community of freight frens with an opportunity to participate in AirDrops and giveaways, as well as access to members-only merch store, NFT breeding and of course, early access to Supplain Protocol's services.

What are $WOF tokens?

$WOF utility token is the primary fuel for everything in the World Of Freight ecosystem.

Its utility ranges from being the payment method for upgrading the vehicles at the Garage to being the reward for winning the tournaments at the Racing Arena. When sending their vehicle to the Junkyard, one also needs to surrender their $WOF tokens.

In the future, $WOF Tokens will also be used for entering into paid race events or leasing other people's World of Freight vehicles for the race events.

How do I get $WOF tokens?

You can get $WOF Tokens via earning them by owning a World of Freight NFT vehicle, winning the race events in the Racing Arena or swapping them from WETH to $WOF via Uniswap.

For each day that you hodl your World of Freight NFT, the vehicle collects you 25 $WOF tokens. These $WOF tokens are initially be added to the vehicle owner's unclaimed balance, and they need to be claimed before they are usable.

That said, there is no need to stake the vehicles - just hodl them.

Learn how to trade tokens in the Uniswap app via this guide.

How do I claim the unclaimed $WOF tokens?

$WOF can be claimed under the tab "My Fleet".

To claim, click on "Claim all" and a transaction will pop up in your digital wallet that must be confirmed. Again, make sure to not cheap out on gas and do not spam the "Claim all" button!

It makes sense to let the unclaimed $WOF token balance grow before you claim them to save on gas fees. Unclaimed $WOF tokens are tied to the initial ETH address and are not transferred with WOF vehicles. When a WOF Vehicle is transferred to a new address, the new address will now yield its $WOF.

Do you earn 25 WOF tokens per NFT or per wallet?

Per NFT.
